This live concert took place on the 21st of October 2007 at Wembley Arena in the UK. Headlining the event was Sami Yusuf, an established musician and performer from the UK

Support acts included Outlandish from Denmark, Kareem Salama from the USA, The Sound of Reason from Canada and Hamza Robertson from the UK. The concert was organised and promoted by Awakening Entertainment in partnership with Islamic Relief.

The theme of the concert was peace - more accurately peace in the Darfur region of Sudan. At the time of writing, the whole area is in turmoil owing to a devastating war resulting in desperate living conditions. It was hoped that the concert would raise awareness of both the region and its terrible events - potentially resulting in a coordinated and successful aid effort.

The main aim of the concert was to raise funds for that region - with all proceeds on the night going to Islamic Relief's Darfur Appeal.

At the end of the event, a staggering £2.2 million was raised. Of course, it wasn't just a night of worthy causes, it was a night of celebration and remembrance. And entertainment!

This wonderful blend of artists came together to perform a myriad of entertaining and spiritually uplifting songs. The atmosphere at Wembley Arena was just astonishing! The whole event was filmed for a future DVD production - previews of concert footage will appear here soon.
